OUR MAIN SYSTEMS
Biosecurity Africa
The Biosecurity Africa platform is a comprehensive cloud-based system and mobile app designed to support biosecurity efforts across various sectors. It enables the efficient management of biosecurity data through a centralized portal and app, facilitating decision-making and early warning systems (EWS) for governments, organizations, and industry. The platform offers tools for monitoring and reporting pest sightings, disease outbreaks, and other biosecurity threats, while automating data collection through integration with traps and other devices. It supports collaboration and information sharing, ensuring rapid response and protection of ecosystems.
Crop Scout
The Crop Scout cloud-based platform and mobile app are designed to assist farmers with pest management and crop health monitoring. It allows farmers to log pest sightings, disease symptoms, and other crop-related issues in real-time. The platform offers tools for data analysis and satellite imagery enabling farmers to make informed decisions about pest control and crop management. It can integrate with automated traps, weather stations and other sensors to provide accurate, up-to-date data. By centralizing pest and crop health information, the system helps farmers improve yields, reduce crop losses, and enhance overall farm management practices.
Wild2Earth
Wild2Earth's wildlife mobile application streamlines the data collection process, offering real-time, paperless management of wildlife and farms. The application is highly customizable to meet the specific needs of each user and is linked to a web dashboard for displaying collected data and generating reports. Access to the mobile app is restricted to registered users of the web portal, ensuring secure and tailored functionality.
Wild2Earth also have a Student Program and Anti-Snare Unit launching soon, along with a stronger focus on Awareness and Community Engagement.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
PSHB Surveys
The Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer (PSHB) trap survey in Kruger National Park aims to monitor the presence or absence of this invasive beetle, which poses a significant threat to native trees and ecosystems.
The survey involves strategically placing traps in various areas within the park to intercept and identify PSHB activity.
National P&D Surveys
The National Forestry Pest and Pathogen Survey on pines, eucalyptus, and wattle is designed to monitor and manage the health of South Africa’s commercial forestry sector by detecting and responding to emerging pest and pathogen threats. These species are vital to the forestry industry, and any infestations or diseases can have severe economic and ecological consequences.
MFC Nursery Audits
Macadamia Felted Coccid (MFC) independent nursery audits are designed to prevent the spread of this harmful pest by ensuring that nurseries supplying macadamia plants are free from MFC infestations.
The process is crucial for maintaining the health of macadamia orchards and ensuring that nurseries meet strict pest-free standards.
Quelea alternative Control
The Quelea Alternative Control Project focuses on innovative and sustainable methods to manage and control Quelea bird populations, which are known for causing significant crop damage, by exploring environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional chemical pesticides.
National Biosecurity Hub
The BioHub functions as a centralized platform for coordinating biosecurity efforts, enhancing surveillance activities, and facilitating data sharing, research collaboration, and the development of decision support systems (DSS) to protect South Africa from harmful pests and diseases.
iLEAF
We install, service and integrate iLeaf weather stations into our cloud-based systems to enhance real-time data collection and analysis, enabling improved decision-making for environmental monitoring and agricultural management
